Project Manager
Steven is responsible for developing the next generation of leaders in South Sudan. Prior to joining EAM, Steven moved to South Sudan where he worked with Samaritan's Purse in the Nuba Mountains to build churches destroyed in the Sudanese Civil War. Steven grew up in Crofton, Md. and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from LeTourneau University.

Project Manager/Entrepreneurial Adventures
After a six-month post-graduation construction and management internship with EAM, Jon accepted this position which supports the building of the Leadership Academy of South Sudan. Jon plans to study Arabic in his free time so he can better communicate with the locals in Juba including sharing the love of Christ with the people he meets. A native of Dallas, prior to obtaining a Bachelor's of Arts in Social Work from Texas Christian University Jon worked in construction in the Dominican Republic. He has also served as a volunteer Young Life leader.

  Jon Parsons

Education Manager
Lauren's primary focus is to establish the educational program for the Leadership Academy of South Sudan. She brings to this position experience developing a peace education curriculum for war-affected children. Previously, Lauren taught in Rwanda for two years where she helped launch the first post-genocide international school. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Towson University and a Master of Science in Global and International Education with a concentration in peace education in East Africa from Drexel University. A native of Baltimore, Md., Lauren has traveled to many countries around the world, in East Africa and most recently lived in Washington D.C.
